JOSEPH W. DICKEY

Joe Dickey is the President and CEO of FGS & Associates, LLC. FGS & Associates, LLC was formed in 1998 to provide strategic, management and technical services to the electric and gas industries. Mr. Dickey is also an Accredited Executive Associate with the Institute for Independent Business. In this capacity he works with the owners of independent businesses to grow and improve.

Prior to joining FGS, Mr. Dickey was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Tennessee Valley Authority for the last four (1994-98) of his seven years at TVA. As COO he was responsible for all hydro, coal and gas power generation,
transmission, customer service, economic development and marketing operations with up to 9,000 employees and an annual budget of $1.8 billion.

Prior to joining TVA, Mr. Dickey was with the Florida Power & Light Company for 24 years. There he last served as Vice President for fossil operations with eleven generating stations. He was Vice President, Nuclear Operations from 1985 to 1988, responsible for two nuclear plants.

Mr. Dickey holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also
completed The Executive Program at the University of Virginia Colgate-Darden School of Business Administration. Mr. Dickey was presented the Ishikawa Medal by the American
Society for Quality Control in 1997. He is a registered professional engineer in Tennessee and Florida. He is active in several business and social community groups.


Susan D. Ridgell, Ph.D.

Susan Ridgell provides consulting services within two major categories: (1) comprehensive senior advisory services for business owners; and (2) leadership development, teambuilding, and executive coaching services for managers in larger organizations. She has over 27 years of business experience in management, consulting, financial, and executive liaison capacities. An Executive Associate accredited by the Institute for Independent Business, examples of Dr. Ridgell’s typical projects have included:

• Advising business owners on successful strategies including business planning, cost-cutting, marketing, standardizing procedures prior to franchising, employee issues, and more;

• Providing leadership development, executive coaching, teambuilding, 360-degree feedback processes, and group sessions for senior management and other employees within global organizations in the midst of organizational change;

• Consulting with a major international original equipment manufacturer in the electrical utility industry (during a time of acquisition and merger) for the development and implementation of
company-wide competency programs and processes, as well as teambuilding activities; and

• Assisting a major organization in its training delivery mechanisms, helping to improve training within an existing competency program.

Dr. Ridgell is an adjunct instructor at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville campus), teaching organizational psychology courses to graduate students and upper level undergraduate students. Within
this capacity, Dr. Ridgell covers topics such as leadership, teamwork, organizational change interventions, organizational culture issues, performance appraisal processes, hiring and selection processes, motivational theories and applications, and a wide scope of concepts in executive decision-making.

Dr. Ridgell is an Independent Consultant with Arbonne International and has attained the level of Executive Area Manager. She actively focuses on building successful teams of consultants within
Arbonne by providing effective coaching, leading-edge tools and processes, leadership development, and strategic planning.

Prior to commencement of work with her present company, FGS and Associates, in 2000, Dr. Ridgell held positions in auditing and finance for 19 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA):

• Leadership roles on cross-organizational teams for several re-engineering projects, primarily in human resource re-structuring and process design for retaining organizational competency in an
aging workforce (2 years);

• Financial manager within the Chief Financial Officer’s organization, supervising staffs in multiple locations who conducted rate reviews for TVA’s 160 municipal and cooperative distributors, as well as supervising other financial modeling activities (3 years);

• Liaison for TVA’s Board of Directors and senior management, directing process improvement teams for TVA’s contracting process and analyzing major contract content (3 years); and

• Supervising Auditor and Auditor in TVA’s Office of the Inspector General, primarily concentrating in supervising and conducting contract financial audits (11 years).

Dr. Ridgell holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology (Industrial/Applied concentration) from the University of Tennessee (2003), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Carson-Newman College (1981). She is accredited by The Institute for Independent Business, and she is also a Certified Public Accountant. Dr. Ridgell is active in several business and social community groups.
